Cylindrical Mounts

Cylindrical mounts are frequently employed for vibration, shock, and noise control. Cylindrical mounts can be used when there is shear and compressive stress present.

SDP/SI offers cylindrical mounts in natural rubber, neoprene, and urethane.

Natural Rubber: Natural rubber is more affordable than many alternative polymers and is more resilient to abrasion and vibration. It is a very robust and durable material due to its high tensile strength and the amount of flexibility it has under stress.

Neoprene: Neoprene has good resistance to a variety of environments, including ultraviolet radiation, ozone, and oxidation. Neoprene is waterproof and corrosion-resistant. Since it has high thermal stability, neoprene can withstand temperatures between -40°C and 120°C while still remaining pliable and malleable.

Urethane: These isolators exhibit extremely low amplification resonance and quickly return to system equilibrium after shock or vibration input. Very resistant to abrasion, oils, chemicals, and ultraviolet radiation.

Cylindrical mounts are also offered in male to male, male to female, female to female, and male to blank ends.

Two rectangular shapes. On the left, a black square overtop of a white long rectangle. Arrows point towards the 4 corners of the black square and COMPRESSION is labeled underneath. The right shape is a black square with a horizontal white rectangle underneath. Two arrows point at two opposing corners of the square. Underneath is labeled SHEAR
